Goodbye November 2014

I am a Scrooge by heart I don't like shallow happiness and everything that is materialistic. That is what makes December so annoying for me and at the same time sad. December is going to be a long one I guess.

I fucking hate the holidays!

Day 9th until the 16th of the stupid Starbucks challenge

Honestly its kind of tiring to post all my rants about Starbucks or maybe say something nice once in a while. So bear with me because there would be lots of rants.

Day 9th

I wonder why is it sometimes that whenever I order the same thing, the barista assumes that I will order the same shit. Sometimes I am too lazy to say no or just pissed that I can only nod.

Lakbay Lakaran: An interesting view of the treasures of Quiapo

Yes Quiapo is not the place where you just buy bootleg DVD of movies and or pirated stuff. Despite the growing number of Muslims in the area and degree of deterioration. One can always glimpse its glorious past. Often times hidden by the dark reality of life and greed of people.

My journey of course starts at the most famous place - the Quiapo Church.

The meeting place is at the Casa Boix located on Bautista Street. You cannot miss the place because it stands out among the buildings on the Streets.

Continuing where we left off

I have done many things. Of course seen many things but then again the internet goes and you got nothing to do. I still have lots of pending stuff to write and now internet is back I am feeling lazy and distracted on this and that.

As a celebration of my comeback today. I am sharing this funny music video.

Day 9 of the Starbucks challenge

It's another day and I am one sticker away to buying anything on Starbucks. I do like doing that. You eat firsts the things you don't like and then put the best for last.

This time the lady at SB had a better personality and actually greeted me as I bought my stupid cookie latte. I am also losing my like of coffee these days.

MMFF 2014: Another season of pure Filipino crap

There are so many things to hate about Christmas in the Philippines. There is the traffic, the noise of the seasonal fucking carols, the people pretending to be good, those people pretending to be nice, and then you have the annual showcase of the so called Philippine talent - the motherfucking Metro Manila Film Festival.

It was supposed to shoecase the best in Filipino films and started well with Imelda Marcos and the films produced were something of an Art. Now fast forward to 2014 Christmas time. Now we get the same standard shit that has been recycled since the day people thought sewer water is safe to drink and that the Pasig river is a nice place to breathe fresh air.

According to wikipedia the MMDA or the Metro Manila Development Authority has released the official list of things you don't want to see but will forced to watch when you are already in hell.

Here is the list and what I think about each.

1. Bonifacio - starring Robin Padilla, Vina Morales, Daniel Padilla, Eddie Garcia

This is supposed to be a historical drama about the braveman of the Katipunan. It also show cases a friend of mine Kuya Manzano. The name alone of the Padillas is a clear indication that this would be mediocre and bad way of looking into the life of Bonifacio. Just get the history books if you are interested with Bonifacio. I wished they put Aljur Abrenica as the Bonifacio that is forever topless. Would save and make the movie a bit valuable. lolz

English Only, Please - starring Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay

2. English Only, Please (film) - starring Jennylyn Mercado, Derek Ramsay

I don't know about this drama but Derek Ramsey and the lead women makes me say this is maybe another play on the infidelity thing. The title also plays upon the EOP practice common with many call centers in the country. It's a so-so movie and should be watched when you have nothing else to see on youporn. Otherwise just watch the actors and actress display their bodies because in the end we know this film has no value whatsoever.

3. Feng Shui 2 - starring Kris Aquino, Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, Andre Miguel, Xian Lim

Uhmm Kris Aquino in a movie is a give away. It's a sequal to one of her annoying and not even scary movie about some stupid Chinese practice of good luck that turns into something dark. So better wear condoms and protection as you watch this idiocy of a film. Yes at the end of the movie you still want to be checked on any venereal disease from Kris Aquino.

4. Kubot: the Aswang Chronicles 2 - starring Dingdong Dantes, Isabelle Daza, Hannah Ledesma

Another scary movie on a Christmas day. It's one of those things that should have been shown duirng Halloween but somehow it was left out. This might be the only film worth watching in all of the film entries. The first one was OK and this is just the second part. It's also better because Lovi Poe was taken out of the casting. That means less shit for this movie.

5. Magnum Muslim .357 (film) - starring ER Ejercito, Sam Pinto

With a poster uglier than the ugliest Bollywood movie. It seems that ER Ejercito has the guts to still make the standard action movie that many Pinoy Dad love so much. It comes with the standard leading lady with just the body to show. The movie plot will of course linger on the idea of stupid revenge and male crap that everyone is ashamed of.

6. My Big Bossing's Adventures - starring Ryzza Mae Dizon, Vic Sotto, Marian Rivera, Manilyn Reynes, Nikki Gil, Pauleen Luna, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros

Vic Sotto is a standard in this film festival already. He should have been banned since he gets most of the stupid crowd with his slapstick and lame jokes. Being the safest movie entry expect the standard lines and moves of Vic Sotto and the rest of the cast. Leave your brains when watching a movie like this.

7. Praybeyt Benjamin 2 - starring Vice Ganda, Richard Yap, Roderick Paulate, James "Bimby" Aquino-Yap, Alex Gonzaga, Karla Estrada, Negi

The idol of the madlang people Vice Ganda comes back to destroy what the LGBT comminuty have tried so hard to earn - respect. With the help of the robotic and yet smart Bimby (formerly known as Baby James) and the bigot Alex Gonzaga I bet this movie is another reason for you to just stay at home and watch more porn for the enrichment of your human values. Same slaptstick comedy with brains are to be expected.

and lastly we have

8. Shake, Rattle & Roll XV - starring Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Matteo Guidicelli, JC De Vera, Erich Gonzales, John Lapus

The third of the so called scary movies. By this time you are no longer scared of the movie. Most of the people might be just going to watch the movie for the handsome men they are going to feature. There is even a cameo of Daniel Matsunaga but that alne would not save the movie. Again they should have just put a porn movie instead.

You are lucky are just going to suffer 8 movies this time. Now you tell me Filipnioes are talented and Pinoy movies are good? Thank you for making me think otherwise.

The coming Christmas party (2014 horror story of mine)

So people have gone crazy over the coming Christmas party at work. It is scheduled on December 13, 2014 on a Saturday. Prior to this the AM people have been busy preparing themselves days ahead on their presentation. We were only officially told just last night of the confirmation of the event.

We would have a presentation for the event. That is just fucking interesting for me.

I am an introvert and this is once again stressful for me. I needed a good excuse and saying I cannot go because blah blah blah will not work. I need a really good excuse. I asked a group of smart people and I basically got nothing.

I have to pretend now that I am going to the party by joining fucking practices.

I rather stay away on that with a good friend. Then the scary part is that I have to spend time with people I don't even like and pretend I like it. Of course there are some people and how they fucking dress.

It's a real problem for me because I am really honest and not a good liar and for making excuses. I would rather scream I fucking hate Christmas parties!

Day 8 Starbucks challenge

It seems that everyone is already accustomed to me coming to work with a mug on hand. I just ignore the glances I get at the office lobby and with other people carrying their cheaper same tasting coffee. I don't really find anything really tasty with the coffee.

The only difference is that the coffee is more expensive. One blog said that I am paying more for the stupid brand name and the so called experience. Whatever that experience means!

I really want to stop drinking this same old cookie latte.

Day 7 of the Starbucks challenge

With just a day of not having the holy coffee for most mindless Filipinos I was having another one as I go to work. The line at the Starbucks I went to was a little longer. Sometimes I hate some branches of SB. They just want to be cute with some people and not everyone.

The one in Glorietta 5 was really good. They always smile and know how to communicate with customers.

Day 6 of the Starbucks challenge

The caffeine rush continues.

Six stickers and still drinking their holiday drink. I bet if given chance, a very few people will buy their holiday treat. Especially that one that has peppermint. Fuck I hate peppermint especially when you put it in any kind of food. I even hate those candy canes.

Soon I will get rid of those required Christmas special drinks.

I was also with a friend sharing about Buddhism that I almost forgot to muse about this crap about the planner.

English Dharma Service and Lecture at the Mabuhay Temple (November 23, 2014)

Accomplished stage actress, director, choreographer and theater arts educator Tess Jamias is the featured speaker for this month's Dharma Sunday with her talk entitled “Nurturing Empathy in Aid in Character Work (And Living) – A Zoetic Case Method.” The talk is going to be held at the Prajna Lecture Hall of Mabuhay Temple on November 23. Registration starts at 8:30 am. Admission is free.

An English Dharma Service will be held before the lecture. Also, those who will join the event will have an opportunity to perform da zhai or offer food to the sangha or the monastic community. Offering to the sangha nurtures both the body and the mind and benefits both the self and others. An offering of at least P150 entitles the donor to a vegetarian lunch after the lecture.

"Give books this Christmas! Visit Books for Less Warehouse Sale from Nov. 16 – Dec. 15, 2014 at SM Manila where thousands of books are only P20.00 each. Bring along your ecobag for great finds! Definitely, a must visit!"

Day 5 of the Starbucks challenge

This is not my first Starbucks planner. I have had two others before. I get them when I like the designs they are having, not just because I want to famewhore myself be known as rich or whatever.

So I clearly remember the inflation of stickers. Now I need to get 19 stickers. When before I know you can get them with just 18 or less. Why do they have to do that? I mean are they now giving more than Php 50.00 for each of the planner they give out? So far they are quiet on this.

Dharma Service and Lecture at the Mabuhay Temple (September 21, 2014)

This another late post from mine.

It took me a long time to just get to the Mabuhay Temple from SM MOA. The FX there going to Manila took ages to be filled up. I was quite anxious and stressed already after waiting for more than 30 minutes. I know we were going to be late for the service.

I like the service because it was going to be in English.

We made it in time and I was able to participate in the service and listen to the lecture with a friend of mine. The service was done on their smaller hall at the fifth floor.

Is collecting about rarity?

Some people like be special and be the only one to have something. They want to be the only person who has something. True that rarity gives something value because you might be the only one who has it. It doesn't matter what you have rare, be it a book, stamp, toy or even postcard. These days anything can have a value depending on whom you are talking with.

One problem we have is that many Pinoys are ignorant about past hobbies, especially collecting stuff that was popular years ago.

But what gets me really pissed is when people rub their shit on you about the rarity of their so called collections. I for one think, Fuck you! I don't care! That is your and you keep that shit.

Again collecting is just a fucking a hobby. A distraction from the shit of life. Nothing more. It also doesn't make anyone especial unless you have the Holy Prepuce of Jesus.

Day 4: Starbucks challenge: What is the Starbucks Charity thing?

I am not a fan of the Frappe version of their drinks. Even at its heyday before I only got hot coffee most of the time. This time I got the Toffee Nut Latte. And again people are lining up for their fucking stickers.

Starbucks with its partner UNICEF made a program for children called SparkHope, which it says aims to help in the education of children in the rural areas. But the most surprising fact is that only Php 50.00 goes into each of the stupid planner each customer gets. I find that quite disturbing. Also there is the fact that the report they give on the project is almost minimal and doesn't include any real studies.

Here is an exerrpt from the net about the project. Sounds nice but I am not entirely sure.

They helped spark hope in communities:
Starbucks together with UNICEF launched SparkHope, a giving-back-to-the community programme that allows each Starbucks store in the Philippines to adopt a barangay and provide for early childhood care and stimulation for children below six years old in that barangay.
A SparkHope corner can be found in every Starbucks store. It shows photos of the adopted barangay and information on UNICEF's early childhood care and development programme. A donation drop box can also be found there.
Customers earned stamps for drinks they purchased. After earning a specified number of stamps, customers can redeem an annual planner. For each planner, UNICEF receives a P50 donation.
Since November 2004, the SparkHope project has raised close to
P1.7 million for UNICEF's early childhood care programme and for the victimes of the December tsunami.

The Walk with Chan Food Tour and Royal Heritage Postal Tour (August 17, 2014)

It started to rain before the start of the event. I was up early and went to the place on my own with the intention of hearing the mass. I was able to hear mass but wasn't able to finish. I have to meet the other guys at the front of the Church. Good thing the rain has already stopped.

The tour starts at the wonderful Sta. Cruz Church often neglected these days by people and forgetting how much history has happened around this area. The nice thing about this walking tour is that you just pay for the food you eat and nothing almost goes to to the guide. You also get your eyes and brain filled with history.

So you missed the Museums and Galleries month at the National Museum of the Philippines?

Fear not? For behold the Philippine National Museum continues to give its people the freedom to go in and look for FREE every Sunday. Again this is to promote information and at the same time showcase some of the treasures of the Philippine culture and history. It's a nice place to hang around rather than waste time at the mall or the fucking coffee shops that some idiots like.

The Philippine National Museum has also put up some new exhibits especially in the old Legislative building. Soon a new building is to be opened.

Here are some of the things you can see at the old Legislative building.

The Starbucks Planner Challenge for me

So it seems my reactions to the Facebook groups question on the need to get a Starbucks Planner has made one particular blogger really pissed. And now I have given myself a challenge to get one.

Everyone thinks it makes them special to have or or even a skill to get one. I say any idiot can get one as long as they have the fucking money.

So here is Day 1. I got my venti soy latte.

The Starbucks planner and the idea of charity.

Source: Starbucks Facebook page

OK its November and while people started their days at the cemetery. Some people wake-up to the taste of over-priced coffee that many so called Pinoy love so dearly. And since its the first day of the introduction of the so called holy grail of coffee idiots, many of them would actually try to be the first one to have their very own over-rated planner that most probably would just be a symbol that I am such a fucking idiot.

Then again the Starbucks apologists would argue for the true value of the coffee they drink and how much pleasure they get from it. Maybe its the same pleasure they get when they get fucked in the ass. I am not sure what.

Another argument is that having and joining this useless activity would be helping the charity of Starbucks who has many programs for this and that. Or its just one way of making their tax minimal by just giving a few once in a while. Some even used that such is the same with ALS bucket challenge and I said yes its true. The deal is if they really want to help they just need to fucking help. No shit dramas like this and all.

Anyways, we know the deal. People really don't give a fuck about what I said earlier. What they want is to have the planner as soon as possible, like that stupid woman who tried to have it in just one day. People want to have the planner as a status symbol and again I bet many people will not even really use them as planner. The same way that people use their so called Bibles at home. It's all just a show. A farce.

Now Starbucks is happy. Thanks for drinking mother fuckers!

After all that has been said and done

OK it seems this blog got some people interested. This blog is a personal blog of a bigot. The word there is BIGOT. Let me make things easy here.

BIGOT accordingly means: a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

I will not say sorry even though sometimes I think my opinions are really wrong. That is my perspective and view of people on others are the same. I don't go around the planet talking about my belief. I just write them here so I won't forget. Because honestly I have a tendency to forget things.

I am also an idiot. I know that but I don't go around the world claiming to be wise. I don't pretend to be anything and I also don't pretend to be nice. I've tried being nice and I learned that that is just stupid.

My opinions are of my own and is not the same with my friends. In fact I don't share many things and stuff to my friends. This blog is also limited for there are things I would not dare write for the mere fact that I thinking about them is just evil. Plain evil.

I don't care about what people would say about me. That is their opinion, it may be wrong it may be right but that is their right. But I guess people worry when I got something to say about them. Me, a nobody and asshole.

Somehow that makes me a little happy.I et many cannot handle that.

I stay as me. Love it or hate it.

For the new viewers of this blog this song is dedicated to you:
