Ellie or Honey my love so sweet (which is better)

I was once plagues by April Boy songs and one of his song is Honey my love so sweet.

I just found out a few days ago that it's the Tagalog version of Itoshi no Ellie by Southern All Stars. I think I prefer the original song.

I got featured on a blog

So I won't forget things I am posting about it. Maybe sometime ago I sent a birthday card to a person in Indonesia. He featured me on his blog.

For me that's a little WIN! I mean I think made a little impact on someone.

Here is his blog entry: Birthday Card From Makati

The card I sent from Papemelroti

Forever by TOMDEN

Rainbow! that says a lot of things about two guys who had a team up recently. So after the Bench ad here comes Tom Rodrigues and Dennis Trillo is a music video.

The shots are nice and simple. There are awkward moments but watching the music video made me go: OK, WTF!, Really?, So-so, That is cute! in random order.I think they need to focus more on the chemistry for the expected effect. Also they have an album under their name. They can sing OK but nothing that spectacular so far.

Now see the music video for yourself!

I failed my deadline

I made or even try to post one stuff everyday but since logging online is quite hard for some reason, I wasn't able to post daily or even update.

I'll just try my best this December and post more and maybe experience more things so I can have better ideas and such and such.

Weekend activities for November 30 and December 1, 2013

Saturday is bore day for me but tomorrow will be interesting!

But I am going to just one event tomorrow, nah its two actually... lolz

I can't make you love me (which version is better)

I first heard Adele sing this wonderful song on her concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Here she is and also Bonnie Raitt. Which do you think is better or maybe you have another artist who also did the cover. Please share!

That is Adele and her curls while this is the original

If Pinoys are to celebrate Thanksgiving

Just a sample of what you can expect at a Pinoy Fiesta

Honestly we Pinoys celebrate Thanksgiving, it's called the fiesta. For me Thanksgiving is just a family dinner with lots of food. That's boring to a person who is used to hearing about fiestas all year round.

The main stay of the Americn feast is the Turkey. It's a big chicken cooked the same way as whole chicken is, fried, on the oven etc. For Pinoys we have the Lechon (Roasted pig cooked on an open pit. I think Pinoys will be bored to death over the foods Americans eat during their favorite holiday.

America may have tons of foods we don't have here in the Philippines. But the same goes for us, we have far greater food than Americans do. The sweets provided by an American lifestyle holds not a candle to the rice cakes we have. And those are just like a little part of the feast.

Well, as a Pinoy I say, fuck Thanksgiving and give me a fiesta.

Commemorative Dolphy Stamps

Dolphy (or Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr.) is one of the most famous comedians in the Philippines, with his slapstick comedy and cheesy lines there was a time I had no option but to watch him. He is dear to many since they grew up watching his sitcoms on TV over Channel 2 (ABS-CBN).

For his contribution to the so called TV industry or whatever reason the Philpost or whoever it is who came up with this idea, I say it's not working for me.

I am not buying this stamp. It's ugly and unimportant. I rather have the other stamps without these famewhores.

News about the launch? Commemorative Dolphy stamps unveiled.

My first knitted hat

This is way easier than the socks I made.

Knitted hat
Be not afraid as a newbie. I made mine with double pointed needles and some yarn you can buy at the Bookstore. We all know the name of this bookstore... lolz

For the pattern go this raverly page: ribbed watchman's hat. Just a note: I think you need to be registered just to get the pattern.

(Sorry this post is in Tagalog.)

Grand Marian Procession (December 1, 2013) at Intramuros

This would be an interesting day to look how art is expressed through religion, especially through the Catholic Church. I know there are tons of old religious image owned by many families some dating back hundreds of years ago especially ones owned by Churches. Such images are always ornate and well jeweled that you may ask questions about their real value to religion and faith.

As an atheist I find them interesting and beautiful. So maybe see you there.

Here is the route:

My first pair of knitted socks

First socks and they fit me well.
I have done the second sock and now I have a pair. I still need some practice with picking-up but I have done something. For me that is way cooler than shopping for clothes, even if my stitches are not that great.

Next stop: knitted hats.

You want to learn this pattern? Send me message.

Freddy Aguilar ang his conversion to Islam

Freddy Aguilar found more meaning in ISlam to satisfy his sexual cravings.
Source: Inquiere.net
When Edward VIII was not allowed to marry another wife, he did the best thing he can. He made up his own Church and legitimize his new found love.

Meanwhile in the Philippines there are many options to get away with what you want. Freddy Aguilar has found the answer in Islam on which he will find favour for marrying a young woman (I am sure she is not a virgin anymore).

But at least now he has an excuse to marry minors. I hope he dies soon.

Only a crazy person would convert just to satisfy his need for fresh meat and at the same time hide under the protection of religion. Now few people will be able to say things against it. Not me.

More news here, here and here.

Lupang Hinirang by Joey Ayala

I disagree to many of the points on how the Lupang Hinirang should be sung.

He is saying as if there are no marches in our history of music. Of course there is some but there is also a fact that not most of our song is soft. There is a great variety of rhythm in our music over these 7,107 islands.

Though there is a point with the pronunciation, a proper singing can correct the said mispronunciation. According to a rule I learned pronunciation must be prioritized in singing rather than what the score says. But we all know that not everyone is going to sing in that way.

I find Joey Ayalas points quite weak in comparison to how the Nationa Anthem should be sung as required by the law. I bet the Philippine Madrigal singers will never sing a song in any other way. Like the way we were taught at PNU on how the song should be sung.

Manny Pacquiao and Jessica Sanchez

Another thing I hate next to PACMAN boxing dramas.

Who cares about boxing these days? The shine has faded and the media will just showcase a bit of it. For the money. We know all of these drama is for the money.

Of course PACMAN will soon run out of money look at his hobbies as well as the lifestyle of his family. He will need to box for a longer time.

I am not sure when is the fight but another famewhore comes to the stage in here-Jessica Sanchez.

OMG! I just learned its this Sunday. I need to go out early and to also have my iPod fully charged.

Be sure to hear another Lupang Hinirang devalued. Even the Joey Ayala thing was also bad...

Collector's Night at Philpost

When I read the invitation for this rare event, I was shocked. Rare eh? This might just come once in a hundred years or so. It also says in the invite that it's a rare event.

So I called many times before the date because you needed to confirm and darned it was quite hard to call. But is worth the effort.

It's a wonderful and interesting gathering of philatelists in Manila and some nearby places. The farthest was from Quezon province.

The event is hosted by the postmaster general Josie dela Cruz and the rest of the Philpost. The event's special guest is former President Fidel V. Ramos, who remains a good proponent of stamp collecting and of having a positive outlook in life. He is just so full of energy.

FVR was so willing to sign all stamps, FDCs, postcards, etc for all the collectors. And he indeed signed a lot of items. I pitied him so much but at the same time admired him the more.

I love FVR's humor. It's getting better and better.

I LOVE YOU (which version is better)

It's a battle of two songs for today. Which do you think is better and why? I first learned about the version from Daesung or D-Lite because I am a Big Bang fan.

I love both versions.

This is the original version

#SocialShapeUp: Building Networks

PRO-FRIENDS or Property Company of Friends, Inc. is a company that has long seen the potential of the internet especially of social networking and of the power of bloggers to influence and help companies. Next year they will be celebrating their 15 anniversary.

They have provided bloggers an event and wonderful venue - Romulo Cafe in Makati. With a wonderful weather and warm welcome the event started over with good food provided by Pro-friends.

"Great morning!" is how they started their program after lunch. It's a weird greeting at around 1 PM but the positive vibe and the honesty of their words makes up great for such a greeting. With big smiles and information about the company.

Weekend activities for November 16 and 17, 2013

Well I am going to write about the things I would do today. The weather seems good like last week despite the super typhoon.

Many people are devoting their time to volunteer and help in the disaster. Somewhat I feel alienated about it since I don't watch TV. TV is much exaggerated here in the Philippines and often times unreliable.

Let's start with the first one.

If ever

I have moved once again but to a smaller space. Shared with two noist relatives back in Makati. I feel some form of relief and the same time the same pressure since I lived here.

I've packed everything into crates and plastic bags and yet it seem I have too much stuff. I woke up early and I haven't eaten anything since yesterday except those pandesal I had early morning.

I will just wait for my friend from the city of Angels for any updates.

See you then for my next drama. I have an event today in Makati. Well that is later.

Changes

I hate changes because I am person who lives with patterns and does the same things over and over again. The word is routine, even the small changes I put in life seem to follow a pattern s well.

This is one of the best covers of the song Changes by Tupac.

The artist is Alex Goot.

Bench and Equality

Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez aka TomDen
Source: Bench website

I think it's great that Bench the leading clothing line in the Philippines decide to put in two guys next to each other on an ad. I am surprised that the CBCP has not issued anything against it or the Catholic Church.

Thumbs up to Bench!

What is pain?

A cats claws on your wrists,
Biting at your fingers,
Is it the Japanese Sandals?
Maybe its being left for dead.

Just another scratch.

The story:
I went to Makati to get my postcards and to also visit the cats. It breaks my heart too that the cats are not being taken care of as I would have them. I was also told by my aunt that I can go back. I just felt tears as I went back to Manila. I am angry but I feel so bad for myself as well.

Socks

I am making socks and I say it's not an easy thing to do. Well maybe it's not that hard even. It's my first chance to do this, give me some slack.

So far I am glad that I am doing well.

With mistakes but YEAH!!!

Wednesday, November 6, 2013

So I woke up a bit early and tried to sleep and sleep more. That is just with the fact I wrote postcards until around 5 AM. It's hard for me when I don't have work. I don't have anything to do or anything to complain about. Maybe for me that is the secret of life, making yourself busy with things that are not that even important.

It is also a hard to pretend that I am still working when I am not. So today I pretended to go to work since none on the place I stay in know that I don't have work anymore. So I took a bath and put stuff on my bad as if I am going to work but not really.

First place I have been to was the post office. I put the postcards with the stamps on the box for other countries. I was thinking of getting stamps but I decided to run away before I buy stuff.

I walked in front of the Metropolitan Theater and a guy with a huge box asked me, "Where is the Post Office." I said, "That building (pointing to the building of the Post Office)." People these days need to have Google Map glued to their memories.

No more Undas

Since the prospect of seeing my relatives whom I detest the most, I have decided to no longer go to the cemetery. Our dead relatives are located at the Manila South Cemetery at the back, way past the only President that is buried there.

I didn't light any candles or even say prayers. What I did was just watch Breaking Bad Season 2.
