The Pet Express Cat Craze at SM City North EDSA (August 31, 2014)

The Pet Express Cat Craze at SM City North EDSA
3F City Center

I missed the event last time near my place. Maybe I just lost focus and considering I was the first one who posted about the event.

Few of the things I hate about Rizal

Jose Rizal is considered the national hero of the country despite the fact that there is no law that says Rizal is the national hero of the country. But the problem is compounded by the fact that many books in school say that Rizal is the national hero.

I hate Rizal for the idea he represents to many Pinoys. He has become a deity and is indeed worshiped  by some cults as god.

Rizal is also used by many Pinoys as the ideal Pinoy while Maria Clara somewhat symbolizes the woman. Both an insult to our already shameful existence as a nation without identity.

Again I hate Rizal for making philosophizing look bad. The character Pilosopong Tasyo is the very reason many people say, Huwag kang Pilosopo! (Don't reason out!) As if reasoning away is such a bad thing. ‪

He said that loving on'es language is important but as he aged he forgot what he said and just wrote in Spanish.

I am back after the death of my Jurassic laptop

A few days ago my Jurassic MSI1313 laptop decided to do another round of suicide. And this time it was able to really die on me.

The laptop has been with me since 2009 and has been cared of by me. The problem actually started when I lent the laptop to people. The first thing to go is the keyboard.

After a few months the screen died off.

Thanks to the help of my reliable friend Pinoy Atheist I was able to buy a new laptop for use in my blogging drama.

My new laptop is the ASUS E8618 and I am now forced to learn this Windows 8.

I feel like an idiot but at least I was able to use the internet for Facebook and social media shit.

VC Trading (Cubao's haven for knitters and crafters)

It is quite uninviting to go to crafting stores that have big gowns as display in front for a guy like me. But I got the better of me and saw beyond what the store can offer. Or maybe its just my homophobic Catholic brain working. Whatever.

I prefer this display as an invite to future crafters and clients for this store. I have bought knitting needles here but most of what they have are double pointed needles, single needles and some round needles. The choices are quite few but can be of a great help for guys who want to learn knitting and other crafts.

Marriage in the Catholic Church? Well let's see

Catholic Gay marriage? lolz

According to Wikipedia:

During the 1990s, a discussion began in the Roman Catholic Church about blessings for same-sex unions. In the Roman Catholic Diocese of Aachen in Germany, five same-sex unions received a blessing in German town of Mönchengladbach.[94] In 2007, one same-sex union received a blessing in German town of Wetzlar in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Limburg.

These statement clearly is misleading. My friend assumed that this is a clear proof that maybe there will be hope of gay marriage in the Catholic Church. I say that such a thing is highly improbable, like

Kulay-doscope at Galeria de las Islas

Kulay-doscope is a celebration of life and colors of the artists of Pinsel Art Society. They are named after the small brush used by artists because their numbers are quite small. It was established in 1995 and has 12 core members but they are always welcome with new and young artists.

The current President Mr. Romy de Leon is an artist that paints landscapes and nature explains the goal of the group. He said, " There is a need for the public to be educated in Art."

Books for Less Warehouse Sale: a book lovers cheap thrill (August 2014)

So I decided to go to the Books for Less Warehouse sale in Pasig. I a not meet my friend who says confusing ways of going to the area in the most ambiguous ways as well.

I went to Ortigas Shaw and took a jeep going to Pasig Palengke (Market) and went down the Rotonda area. I met my friend there are took a tricycle going to La Consolacion College Pasig on Mercedes Ave. We arrived at the Warehouse at around past 9 am.

It was a hot day with no hint of rain. The place was quite small and a bit crowded with tables almost touching each other. The space for walking among the stacks of books can barely allow a person to go through and may take an effort when passing another person.

Received postcards (August 5, 2014)

I got my cards again after a few days. It seems postcards are coming in a bit slow. I also got my knit knit postcard I swapped with someone on the Postcrossing group on Facebook.

Eats @SM Fairview: Not just another food fair

Eats @ SM Fairview

One food fair is different from another. There are many factors that make a good food fair. There is the people, the food and the service, even the venue plays a role in it.

SM Fairview is a long way for me but I came to see the event and enjoy with my eyes as well as with taste buds.

I came early with a friend from a walking tour jut hours ago. I was good to be early but we were way earlier than the expected time. It's hard not to miss the venue. White tents that contrasts with the traffic that around,; that is the buses and the people.

Here I go with the EATS @ SM FAIRVIEW.

Facebook goes down again (August 2, 2014)

At around past midnight of Saturday, August 2, 2014 Facebook goes down and so is the many fake lives it has spawned.

The famewhores are worried about their selfies and many Pinoys are already on the brink of depression and suicide.

So what did many people do? Try and try until it opens up once again. What shit will we get this time from Facebook?
