Knit, purl and then...

It's a girl's world they say. I think they make wonderful things and we should go back to the time when we make things instead of buying everything from the mall.

Yes men cam knit too.
So I decided to make stuff by knitting. Why knit? I just decided on that because for me it look cool. And damn some of these poeople can do really amazing stuff with just some yarns.

I downloaded tons of books but sometimes I still get lost since many of such skills can be learned best with a peer or videos. So if you are reading this and is also interested with knitting. Send me an e-mail ( and I will teach you.

I joined two sites and still navigating them.

First site is Ravelry

Second is KnittingDaily.

I am also wanting to meet knitters in the Philippines and learn.

What are vegetarians?

I teach English to online students from Korea. You know the deal they just want to practice their speaking skills or something in that line. Honestly I think they just need someone to talk with to lessen the stress of their Korean lifestyle.

Usually my teaching load is not heavy and hard since I handle Middle School and High school students. Their English is not that bad since they can convey their ideas quite well.

When I teach and I think the same goes with other teachers. It is often times impossible to give the dictionary meaning to the students of unfamiliar vocabulary. So I had to make things easier for the student. And you know that experience that even as a good speaker of English some dictionaries give meanings that are far harder to understand than the word itself.

Source: Evolve!
So I over heard a teacher say, "I don't want to be a vegetarian because I don't like to be a cow who just eats grass." He even changed the word cow the second time and used carabao instead. I bet his Korean student doesn't even know what a carabao is.

I know the teacher doesn't mean any harm or even insult to what vegetarianism really is. But I think it stems from a general ignorance of people and so much perceived bullshit the media and the Internet gives to what being a vegetarian really is. I also have to blame the general distaste of people to vegetarians to the people of PETA.

On the side note I want to scream that vegetarians are not that even. We also eat other things from plants like fruits. Also I feel that bad that animals like cows are denigrated below humans just because they only eat grass and plants. When did eating meat become better or the eating of plants alone? When did human become superior to animals? Or animals superior to humans? But I think animals are way better than humans. sorry dear humanist!

And yes there are times that we still need to stick to what the dictionary tells us:

Vegetarian: [vej-i-tair-ee-uhn]
a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any foodderived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.

Bullying and the so called drama of depression

It would be nice to think of being sad that something that people say, you are just sad get over with. But there are things that goes beyond the pain of being alone, rejected, hated or just being plain different from the rest of the world.

In my life there has never been an episode that I have never thought of doing suicide and life just seem to be filled with unimaginable hurt especially when you are not cute, talented and famous.

I feel for the people who have experienced being bullied and cast down because I have experienced that myself.

To you who have experienced pain, a hug I give to you.

To this day project....

... for the bullied and the beautiful

The Vice Ganda brouhaha

I bet some of you Pinoys have watched that noon time show Showtime with their interesting host Vice Ganda. It's the common bathroom and slapstick humour that Pinoys really love. You know the one where a person is mocked, usually their contestants, and laughed about by this host.
Apologetic Vice Ganda on his show.

But there are times when things can get worst when a personality like this comments on this like politics (Nancy Binay) and everything else.

So what is the fuss about? I think its another case of mindless people reacting in way beyond what they really understand about the stupidity of their own mind or the idea that rape can be subject to jokes as well.

I bet many have not even seen the video or whatever that is that covers the issue. So far its been covered by Fashion Pulis (here), GMA (here), ABS-CBN (here), and etc.

In the end its expected that he says sorry for taking things too far and then the rest of the Filipinos move on to the next big bullshit in our lives.

Star Trek and the Geek Out Cry

Life is gratuituous! Deal with it!
So the new Star Trek movie is out and I have no idea what the actual title is. Nope I am not even going to check. I am not interested.

Anyways, people were shocked by the gratuity of the underwear wearing woman in the movie. They say it has no value in the movie while most people are fine with it. Maybe one of the reason they are now going to watch the movie.

Anyways the only people complaining about the scene are the Star Trek fans. Yes those Star Trek fundamentalist that makes this francise look like a sacred scripture or something.

Life is full of gratuity most of the time. Live with it, geeks and nerds a like.

Fuck you and I don't watch Star Wars an Star Trek. I rather watch an orgy of naked men cornholing each other.

How I celebrated my birthday this weekend in 2013

I hate my birthday most of the time because usually its full of memories so bad I don't want to talk about it and for years I never had a birthday celebration that normal people have. You know you call your friends and family at your house have food and be happy.

Well I have no many friends and I know for the fact my relatives hate me. I don't have a decent family either because my mother left me to father who is more worried about how to get money so he can gamble and waste it. I don't have also a home even a proper place where I can call my own. I was just like the cat the family owned and can be always moved around here and there. But at least they kept me out of pity that I have their stupid blood in me. Come to think I don't think I never been part of their blood either.

Anyways so waking up quite late on a Sunday in noisy Manila. I can hear the neighbors complain about the noise. A child asking her Mom for food and all the normal noise of Manila except for that for my special day I have not heard any cussing and bad words. I suddenly felt lucky.

So I went out quite late because I was waiting for some of the downloads to finish at around past 12. No dinner just some juice I had made last night with real orange bits, I went on the LRT 2 Fureza station, paid 13 Pesos and then went down Cubao. Another winding walk thorough Cubao just to make it to the MRT 3 Station going to Makati. Damn I hate people they are just blocking the way everywhere.

I made it In Ayala station because I was quite hungry but then I remembered the time and I don't want to be late. I needed to go by Dreams Yarn Shoppe at Glorietta 5 for knitting needles. Fuck I miss Makait, you can buy lots of shit in here compared anywhere else in the Philippines. I checked out their store and saw the knitting needles but still asked for help since I was looking for a set of knitting needles.

I noticed I was the odd one out there. There were some Korean girls and a Chinese woman there looking at yarns. Most probably for crochet. They have no set of knitting needles and I need to buy each size of needles separately. It's hard to decide and there are so many options. I decided not to buy anything.

On the side note since the opening of the new part of Glorietta, most of the Gloritetta 5 mall is like a ghost town, though there are signs (for future stores) and some stores open, the area feels dead and dark.

Moving along the way snaking through the underpass going through the Ayala Triangle I suddenly forgot the  location of the Filipino Freethinker's meet-up. It's good that I asked Ralph on my way there. So I asked around while trying to map the place on my mind.

I arrived at least around the area at 2, so I am early. I dropeed by 7-11 to buy some chocolate soymilk. For some weird reason I had to see the rest of the store and I saw postcards. I was like really? Yeah it was postcards... for 10 pesos for two postcards. I bought lots of them...

Then I went to the place. It was a small old condo at P. Burgos and Kalayaan. It was owned by Adam who is also the owner of a wonderful ice cream shop. I was early but we have a good number of people in his place.

The meetup was quite boring. We talked about politics, boring. And some there was the thing app for gays I think it was Hornet or something, kinda interesting. We talked about the elections, boring. There was 3D printing of guna as well as the new Star Trek thing as well, way boring.

After the pictures were taken I gave and took Grants number. And then went to my old place in Makati, where I used to live. I was just there to get my postcards and to see the cats.

I asked for my postcards and then immediately looked for the cats. I was not minding what they were saying. I was just mad for being there and all the things they have done to me.

My hear breaks when I go there and especially when I see the cats. Since it was my birthday I bought sardines for the cats, Pokpok and Fred. They are so skinny that it makes me sad and mad at the same time. My aunt was trying to talk to me and give me things but I refused everything.

I watched Fred and Pokpok eat because I know Fred will eat everything and not leave anything for Pokpok. He is such an eater but he has learned to growl while eating. This means he is fighting just to eat. Heartbreaking. I had to make the choice of having Fred and Pokpok live with me in Sampaloc which I am really scared of doing since I know the people there are idiots.

So I went to SM Manila to eat my meal of the day. I went to Bodhi and ate something. Posted on Facebook something about the day and then bought 2 packs of lao po pia (sweetheart cake).

Then I went to the place where I sleep and keep some of my stuff and suddenly the lights went out damn. How am I going to drink this Pop cola and eat this lao po pia for my birthday? Good thing it went back and I celebrated my birthday with that while playing Red Alert 2. Yes that version becuse I can.

Then I slept at around 3 am. What a day!

Dan Brown and the Gateway of Hell

This from my post on Facebook:

Dan Brown's Book said that Manila is the Gate of hell, well I don't agree on that, Manila is hell itself.
Think about it, the place has trash all over, people pee and shit anywhere, people litter the streets and make noise until the wee hours of the morning, and the stink, it fucking stinks and the people? Most of the people are I think devils but there is always one or two reasons to love this hell.

Manila used to be a beautiful city and then war and poverty all struck at the same time. Many old and beautiful palaces are in ruins, have been destroyed or have been replaced by architectural nightmares of malls and condominiums.

People are over reacting as usual and it pisses me off.

Well maybe Dan Brown did a good job by speaking of Manila that way. He will have more sales now.

3 months of...

It's been three months since I have been kicked out of my birth place. My anger seems to grow by the day and I hate my relatives for always make sure that I suffer despite me trying my best not to even exist under their nose. I gave my dues to my annoying evil uncle despite the fact that I gave more than enough of what is needed. He basically leeched me, I never complained.

I was asked to move out many times and in many places in the compound. I never said anything or a word but surely I was mad. Now after moving out and having lost the sense of what it means to come home and to call any place a home. I feel so lost and my only resort is being online and being on Facebook.

I also have been asked to move away from the stupid computer station at work. Now I can at least write my blog. I hate our IT at work for being such a one sided dick sucking asshole. Imagine some PC's in the office have full access compared to other PC's and now the drama boy of the office is getting full acess as well. Well fuck them all and I hope they all fucking die.

I am now learning to knit and is practicing to make stuff, just anything to distract myself from being all alone. Its been days since I am away from my cats and it breaks my heart more since they are the only rational animals I can be with. The charcoal pencils are still sitting there and I still have stuff at Makati that I need to haul and I refuse to sleep with the roosters. Imagine my uncles proposed that I live with roosters. I say fuck them as well.

Now sitting here and now with my birthday coming soon I feel life drain away more every day. I wish I die soon.

New life (nah just a new work station)

So this week I have been assigned to a new work station. It has its perks like at least the internet is working. The downside. I am sharing space and that is a bit stressful for me.

Anyways the good out weights the bad. Good luck to me!
