I a simple blogger and user of the internet is bothered by this Cybercrime law due for tomorrow October 3rd in the Philippines. Thus I support the many people who cry out against it.

I support the work being done by the Filipino Freethinkers.

If you want to do something please try this.

The 33rd Manila International Book Fair

Its the 33rd MIBF!

I was planning to go this morning but I got too lazy to get up from bed for some weird reasons. My colds are going because of the medication but I feel always sleepy.

I really wanted to go because there might be sellers or booths there selling postcards. I am afraid that some people might hoard them and leave us nothing. Some collectors can be really greedy.

This book fair is something I always go to every year but like most of the time I get to buy nothing. The books that are good or I like are expensive. The only thing cheap there are Children's books, old magazines and Religious books (mostly Christian).

So why still go? Maybe the idea at looking at the number of books to buy is inspiring in itself. To see lots of people crowding mostly students and teachers just to look for something to buy. There are lots of people who spend money there. But some like me will just go home with the memory and ideas on what book to buy next.

Maybe I'll bump you there.

Signing on again.

After two weeks of being almost not online the Vegan bigot is back. I was able to buy a phone but I decided against the brand I was supposed to buy a few days ago.

I have a My Phone and its easier to tweet with this one. I am not sure of the battery life and other things I can do with it. It doesn't have a TV like my old phone but that is fine as long as I can post and tweet more.

Empty mailbox

I don't really have a mailbox. I just put a cardboard box for my mails. For the past two weeks my mailbox has been quite lonely. Maybe because I have not been able to buy a phone to access Facebook with for the past two weeks as well.

I have tried this swapbot as a way to get more postage but I am still learning the way to navigate the page properly. I have sent three postcards this week and last week as well.

I know I need patience with my hobby but seeing an empty mailbox makes me want to blame the Philippine Postal System as well.

Payday blues

It's hard when you work in a company that seems to be better in making complaints about employees than about making sure their employees are enjoying. I have been working with Koreans for years and it is a sad fact that many Online Korean companies are either working on an illegal basis or just to plain to make sure they are earning on cheap labor from a third country (like the Philippines) who gives their best nonetheless.

It should  be payday today but they said they have no money. Fucking great!

2012 London Olympics

So it was done. I never watched it. Sports bores me for some reason. Yet I have bought 2 sheets of Olympic stamps.

New gadget

I am gonna buy this new phone on payday.

So I really need to be really stingy until the 20th. I still have  Habagat and Amihan stamps to buy.

Black t-shirts

I am quite a lazy person and I usually pile up on laundry most of the time. A few days ago I just did tons of black shirts and some grey as well.

I do own a lot of black shirts. I don't know why? Maybe I just got sick and tired of wearing white. I mean I have been wearing white polos since I was in Elementary until College. Or maybe I just don't like the drama that comes to washing whites.

Nonetheless, there are stereotypes to people who wear black. Some people say that either you are a satanist or you just like rock too much.

I think its also a weird thing since most of the people I know who are atheists also like to wear black.

A man on a lonely online world...

These days every facet of my life seems to be connected online. I get news from twitter and get connected with friends on Facebook. I also get information from this website and from time time download stuff like books, music and movies from the net.

But last Friday I lost my phone and internet stick.

I was just like any day. I got my noodles cooking and ready. I was watching a Korean drama on my phone because my TV decided to go nuclear on me. I have also opened my stupid laptop waiting for my cousin to open his wi-fi so I can steal some bytes.

Damn! I needed some cola. So I went to the nearest store to buy it. I don't really lock my room when I go for a short time since I feel that no one will be bothering to steal shit from my room.

When I went back to pour myself cola as I noticed that my phone is not there. I went like crazy. OMG! Where did I put it? Maybe I misplaced it again. I went round and round here and there. Pushed things here and there.

I sat down tried to eat but I can't. I went back to the store and asked if I left something but I was told there was nothing I left. I went back home and decided to eat with the worry on my head on where my fucking phone is and then I noticed that my internet stick is not there as well.

This thief is fucking sick. He took a China phone and an internet stick.

My worry now is how to connect with postcrossers on Facebook. I need to buy a new phone next payday.

I hope that monster fucking dies in a really painful way.

Monotheism vs. Polytheism

It is always said that polytheism has this tendency to be evolve into monotheism. This is the most common way people view religion. But this is not always the case.

For me to talk about such topic is quite weird but I am a freethinker and I will say what I think.

In the 1930's a person named Kaufmann released a book named the Religion of Israel. It is a very lengthy book that is quite controversial and sometimes over rated in its criticism of the religion of Israel.

According to Kaufmann, monotheism cannot be a lone product of evolution in polytheism but rather of a revolution of it.

Arguing against the Wellhausenian school of Bible criticism, Kaufmann attempted to demonstrate that Israelite Monotheism was an original creation and popular faith without any roots in paganism, crystallizing in the time of Moses. Thus he challenged the Wellhausenian view that it was the Prophets who were the true creators of ethical monotheism and that the Torah was a mere reflection of their teachings. He pointed out that the influence of the prophets in their own time was not great and that in fact prophesy was a stage that followed from and grew out of the teachings of the Torah, the historical and moral presuppositions of the prophets being those of the popular religion. In this connection, and in the context of the documentary theory of Bible criticism, he also argued that the so-called Priestly Code (P), rather than being a post-exilic composition, as claimed by Wellhausen, antedated Deuteronomy (D), the "book of the law" discovered in the Temple by the High Priest Hilkiah (II Kings 22:8; II Chr. 34:14) in the time of Josiah (622 BCE). Kaufmann also contended that the Israelite conquest of Canaan, reflected accurately in the Book of Joshua, was the product of a national plan carried out by a confederation of tribes acting in unison rather than a gradual process embracing a number of unrelated stages.

Writer or whatever...

Lately I have been plagued by familiar names writing familiar stories that I have read in college (from the TORCH of PNU).

Now I am trying to write something people have never done in Tagalog.

I hope no one has ever done it yet. *cross fingers*

I have an idea just a while ago. Why not write about the thing or someone I am familiar about (with lots of guessing and  bias), that is my cat Pok-pok.

I'll start writing whatever and then edit after writing and then let friends read it.

The working title? Ang mga adventures ni Pokpok.

I am sending postcards

It's been a while since I have actually written anything to anyone. The ones I remember was when I was told by my grandmother to write her letters for my uncle. I wrote once in a while for my mother as well but those are a long time ago.

It's been 6 months since I have been writing and receiving postcards from all over the world.

A while ago I sent a postcard to China and Russia.

May blues

My name day is on May 26th and it is coming soon. It would mark another year of meaningless life of a boring person that will be swept by time and will be forgotten.

Some random thoughts:

1. I would like to have a cake but that would be stressful since it is not economical to have a vegan cake.

2. People will be posting the same greetings on Facebook so I removed by birthday on it.

3. I will see who really knows my birthday, which I am sure is quite a few.

4. I am not a birthday person since I never had a birthday party. There was one but it was lame.

5. Why is there a hype to be happy just because it is your birthday. I hope people just let you feel what ever you feel on that day.

6. I am an introvert and the best gift I can get is maybe a book or if someone is really nice a gadget. But that is impossible.

7. I get mixed feelings of hate, loneliness, anger, frsutation and everything in between whenever it's birthday time.

8. I feel many people really don't care about birthdays but how they can have fun and they have you as an excuse.

and so much more shit...
