Musing about and trying the Slicktight Bubblegum Bastard Pomade

Humans have been playing with their hair for a long time already. People have used many things and stuff to keep their hair looking the same. Some products giving the needed style to keep for a long time and while others can be changed at whim.

It was not an easy process. When I was smaller old people used pomade. In the Tagalog area where I was born, the elders called it "pamada." It has that shinny look that stays long. It works well with the polished look of the start of the 19th century even way up to the end of the war that destroyed what is fashionable Manila.

When I got younger people used gels and hair sprays. I was born in the 80s. Yes, those crazy big hairs that people laugh at when you look at graduation albums. They used tons of hair products like gels and hair sprays to keep those perms and big hairs in place.

I never tried any hair products except shampoo and the occasional conditioner. I never liked the look of gel because it always reminds me of nose mucus. I think I tried it once or twice but I never really liked the feel of it.

For some weird twist of fate the pomade has made a come back. Of course, like any fashion trends people started to favor the good old clean look of the past. Which always reminds me of Frank Sinatra and his hair.

The other thing I remember about pomades is how they smelled before. People often told that pomades smell like old people.

Today I am trying the Slicktight pomade. They have lots of products that won't disappoint you and make you smell something from the past.

I got a hold of the Slicktight Bubblegum Bastard. It has a really nice and tasty smell. So good you want to start chewing on it. I hope no kid touches this because we all know how children are becoming more and more stupid these days. They might eat it and die. Which is good for me. Less stupid children, less stupid adults.

Sorry, I got distracted there. This is an oil-based pomade is made from natural products. The ingredients include: Beeswax, castor oil, microwax, coconut oil, and fragrance oil.

It has a heavy hold and will do well in the crazy weather and streets of Manila. Just make sure you stay away from too much of the pollution. It will also stick to your hair. the good thing is that the smell of this product will be able to hold off the dirty smell.

The best thing about pomades is that it allows you to style your hair again and again throughout the day. Unlike other hair products. If your grandfather uses pomade give him some hip pomade.

A pomade also does not dry like gels, lasts longer. So I say give this product a try. Something old and yet something good. So glad I can style my hair without using those gels. Sorry, I just don't like gels.

Price: Php 350.00 (60 grams) < -- That is not expensive, just to look cool.

Also available are: All Skool Cola, Cool Mint, Strawberries and Cream, Vanilla Sandalwood, Sport, and Aqua. (Damn! I thought at first I was looking at an ice cream menu.)

They also have some awesome soaps, shampoo and combs.

Where can I get this?
Slicktight website and store: https://www.slicktight.com/
Call: +63-917-820-7360
Email: slicktightpomade@gmail.com

They are also on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The Walk with Chan Food Tour and Royal Heritage Postal Tour (August 17, 2014)

It started to rain before the start of the event. I was up early and went to the place on my own with the intention of hearing the mass. I was able to hear mass but wasn't able to finish. I have to meet the other guys at the front of the Church. Good thing the rain has already stopped.

The tour starts at the wonderful Sta. Cruz Church often neglected these days by people and forgetting how much history has happened around this area. The nice thing about this walking tour is that you just pay for the food you eat and nothing almost goes to to the guide. You also get your eyes and brain filled with history.

The Naked Truth versus 69 Bachelors

I think September is a time for people who love looking and drooling at men and boys. In a country of faith that is sacred and holy. The sinful seems to be better done.

I was shocked that aside from the religious criticism Bench's #TheNakedTruth Underwear and Denim Fashion is the one dealing with Coco Martin with a woman on a leash.

In many countries a fashion show is just a fashion show. Models walk down the run way without much gimick than what they are wearing, even the famous Victoria secret maintains itself as a fashion show. But not the Bench show which is actually a show to show the male bulge.

The video uploaded by one person proves its not about the clothes but more of the male meat. The women were just accessories to the crime of fashion. lolz

On the other hand there is the Cosmo Bachelors Bash. This show was catered for the women but to the gay community as well. The show is honest and it just gives the pleasure of people looking at the male bodies in all their glory. There is no need for the bullshit of fashion show.

Well I hope Becn becomes more honest like the Cosmo thing. But then again what do I give a fuck? lolz

Aromateria Rudyard Solid Perfume

I was on the look for a new solid perfume. I love solid perfumes because they are compact and don't spill inside your bag.

A few months ago I lost a Lush's Dirty Solid perfume after eating at McDonalds with friends. It was quite expensive but what is lost is lost. So I went back to looking for a new perfume at lush stores. Sadly they don't have the solid perfume I was looking for. I've tried their branches at Shangri-Land two at Makati.

So I implored the help of google for where to buy solid perfumes. And maybe look for an cheaper alternative.

I saw that there is this thing called Aromateria. It looks promising for just Php 250.00. So I headed to this store at Makati. It's one store that intimidates me. Everything in it looked expensive and rare. I saw the perfume quickly and sniffed at the ones they have. I went to work buying the one named Rudyard.

Aromateria's Rudyard is bamboo, sandalwood and incense. It also suits the smell I was looking of organic, earthy and natural. Not too fake or too musky.

Bench's #NakedTruth or just another flesh show

The male bulge at Bench's Naked Truth

Let's face it guys. Bench's #NakedTruth is nothing but an excuse for the company to parade naked men on the ramp. You say girls? They are just added there so that the event doesn't get the gay label.

Look at all the publicity and you know who the target market is of this show. For a brand that deals with both men and women there seems to be a monopoly on the male bulge especially down there.

Bench has been doing this kind of show and is closely followed by the LGBT community, the same community who like fashion so much.

I think there is nothing wrong with naked men even with their dicks out in the air. I wish that could happen in this hypocritical culture of ours.

My friend asked a store on how much the tickets are and it costs about Php 2,500 worth of denims or underwear you need to buy from their store.

I love Bench products for being good and affordable but sometimes the show of too much male flesh is just disturbing. Sorry my Catholic up bring comes up once in a while. Or I'll be happier if both male and female model gets the same billboards and advertisement.

Try this simple thing search on google Bench Naked Truth and you will see tons of naked men. Women? Almost non-existent.

In honor of the SONA fashion show and all the lies of the Aquino government

SONA 2014 and all that fashion show never gave a damn to this poor fellow who wanders the Pasig River.

Photo taken at Ayala Bridge.

while people rant and rave about what the politicians were wearing. Lauding this and that for being the worst dress of the best dress. Who looks rich and the Prsident makes more promises and talks about his so called accomplishments. While berating and blaming other people rather than himself and his dysfunctional family.

All that crap we don't even care about and is not even important. This man is trying to survive the high waters of shit the Philippine President spews on the media. The incompetence to clean government offices of corruption and the promise of the meaningless path. Wherever that path leads it's sure going hell or nothing.

Or should we contemplate that Nancy Binay was a Pokemon or not. Kris Aquino whores herself like the bitch that needs a dick all the time and endless attention.

While we are busy with shit like that people suffer and get ignored.

She's Dating the Gangster: The devaluation of what the word gangster means

From the same site that gave us the novel and the coming movie 50 Shades of Grey now Filipinos have tried their best at writing their own novels which I think is good.

But then we have this coming movie adopted from a book named, She's Dating the Gangster starring none other than the King of of all jejemons and people who have ugly pronunciation of English and Filipino (In this case I think Coco Martin as the prince. lol)

So many people on Facebook tried to correct the mistake on the title of the movie. Because we know what the word gangster mean and what they are showing is not even ... I have no idea what they are showing and proving with this movie.

According to the dictionary gangster means:

gang·ster [gang-ster]
noun
a member of a gang of criminals, especially a racketeer.

So clearly what is shown in the poster doesn't look what the standard definition says. I have reposted the pictures and tagged Star Cinema but I know my efforts will be in vain since most probably the shooting for this idiotic movie maybe on going or to my horrors already finished.

This might be another of those the movie is ugly compared to the book and maybe the book will be looked down upon because of this movie. The same that have happened with the Twilight Saga books.

Now I have more reason not to ever watch movies from Star Cinema or even Pinoy movies. I rather watch movies from India and Thailand even without the subtitle.

Come on guys, simply because its Pinoy I should watch it. We should watch a movie because it is good. FUCK that Pinoy pride and talent bullshit.

Want more shit? Here is the trailer.

WARNING THIS SHIT IS SCARY!!!!
